WHO THE HELL IS BUGGY?
Buggy takes the bones of hardstyle, techno, IDM, trap and acid house and fuses them together into a driving soundscape that takes the listener from manic highs through brooding tension to euphoric relief. She mixes classically inspired synth lines with chaotic sound design to create a one-of-kind hard dance experience.
Hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, she began her journey as an addendum to DIY punk shows before growing an audience of her own by mixing popular Y2K tracks with her brand of rave music.
Her debut album, infatuation, explores the dissolution of romantic connection when sobering reality finally supersedes nativity and optimism. The intensity of love and heartbreak is underscored by the unyielding composition and tempo of the songs.
